Lorraine is the salon owner & senior stylist. She started working at the Cutting Edge at the age of 15 as an apprentice and then took the salon over in 1991 from the previous owner.
Over the years, Lorraine has built a strong & trustworthy name for not only herself as a stylist, but for the salon amongst it's competitors in the town of Cupar.
She will always go the extra mile to ensure any client entering the salon leaves feeling happy & confident in the services provided.
When Lorraine isn't hard at work, you'll find her out walking her dogs - Millie and Max, sunning it up in Spain, or getting into a new TV series.
Scott is the salon manager as well as a senior stylist, and has been part of the team now for 12 years. He prides himself on building long-term relationships with his clients & has a large returning clientele.
Most days you'll find Scott in the salon doing hair, a local coffee shop or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
Scott is a proper foodie and has a keen passion for all things food & drink (especially coffee!). He also enjoys travelling, visiting new places & exploring different cultures, as well as anything to do with DIY & home renovation.
Jaz is another one of the senior stylists in our team. She has been with us for 7 years, starting as a junior, and is the go-to girl for colour. She especially enjoys copper or red tones - they're her faves & she's an expert when it comes to those!
Jaz loves animals and has 2 cats and 2 dragons of her own at home that keep her very busy.
When not at work, Jaz enjoys socialising and trying out different food and wines.
She's also really into Formula 1, and going to car shows with her boyfriend, who's a mechanic.
Jennifer is another of our senior stylists, who's been with the team for many years now. You'll find Jennifer in the salon Monday - Thursday.
When she's not in the salon, Jennifer is kept busy with her 2 boys and spending time with them and her husband.
She really enjoys getting away on her holidays, especially to India with her family and loves Indian cuisine.
The last couple of years have been quite eventful for Jennifer with getting married and buying their first home, which they are in the process of renovating.
Rachael is our newest qualified member of the team. She passed her SVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing in October 2020 and is now available to take bookings. Yay!
Rachael is a natural when it comes to hair, and is amazing at everything from balayage to hair ups.
Outside of work, Rachael loves all things make-up, beauty and fashion and is a typical girly-girl.
Lee is our wonderful assistant who helps keep everything running smoothly in the salon on a daily basis.
Lee will most likely be the smiley face greeting you when you come through the door. You'll also come across her at the back wash where you'll get a chit chat while she shampoos your hair.
Lee enjoys spending time with her family and friends when not at work. She is also very interested in fashion and interior design, and likes to keep her house looking on point.
Melanie is the newest member of the Cutting Edge team. She started with us as our Saturday girl, and decided she loved it so much that she'd join us full-time as a junior!
She has quite a big family, so when she's not in the salon she's usually spending time with them or catching up with her friends.
She also really enjoys shopping, going out on walks & trampolining.
Melanie has a passion for make-up as well as hair, and we can already see that she will go far within our team and the hairdressing industry.
